David Blair - Owner
David has fished almost since he could walk. He's spent many hours on the banks of the Bow and has been fortunate enough to travel overseas where he's fished for New Zealand's elusive browns, Africa's predatory tiger fish, Cuba's eager bonefish, and whatever felt like eating along western Australia's and Baja's coasts. Dave's recent fishing excursions has seen him stalking bonefish on Mayaguana, Bahamas and looking for Cohos on Vancouver Island's North coast.
During his college and university days David lived in Lethbridge, Alberta and Missoula, Montana. Both areas are veritable fly fishing havens. He spent four summers guiding fly fishing for pike in Canada's North. Those summers cemented Dave's love affair with "toothy critters." He still loves chasing pike and barracuda with his fly rod.
He has a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife biology. Customers may wonder how a trained biologist came to be a fly shop owner and although there's no single answer to that question everyone can rest-assured Dave loves what he's doing. One of Dave's greatest joys is being able to share his knowledge with customers.
David's a Federation of Fly Fishers Casting Instructor and enjoys teaching students of all ages the sport he loves. e-mail: daveb@fishtales.ca

Nancy Storwick - Owner
Nancy is David's partner in business and in life. She's fished for tiger fish in the Zambezi River, tarpon and bonefish in Cuba, and Australia's baramundi. Closer to home she enjoys streamer and dry fly fishing on the Bow River within minutes of home and work. She also has many great memories of Southeastern BC cutthroat excursions (pre-children.)
The Spring 2006 trip to Mayaguana, Bahamas whet her appetite for more flats fishing excursions. Few moments in her fishing experience rival her solitary pursuit of Mayaguana's bonefish and subsequent hook up with a "ghost of the flats." Simply put - she can't wait to do it again.

Terry Johnson
Terry's spent most of his life as an angler and easily the last 18 years as a fly angler. He loves the sport of fly fishing, but beyond that enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with others including his four sons.
Terry is head guide for Fish Tales and as such has developed a reputation as one of the hardest working guides on the Bow. He's often seen hauling the boat back upstream so his client's can have a second (or even third) chance to fish a run....
When Terry isn't guiding or in the shop he's spending time on nearby trout waters or heading out on other fishing adventures. Recently, Terry's fishing adventures have included trips to Cuba where he fishes for bonefish, 'cuda, and tarpon. Prior to catching the saltwater bug, Terry made regular trips west where he enjoyed fishing for B.C. steelhead.
Aaron Caldwell
Aaron Caldwell, a long-time customer, joined team Fish Tales in 2005.
Aaron grew up in Cape Breton. He's been fly fishing since age 12 and has lived and fished in Nova Scotia, Lake Louise, Whistler, and Southern Ontario. Aaron enjoys fishing the Bow River year round and frequenting mountain streams during the summer month. In the fall his focus changes to hunting which he also enjoys.
An inspired fly-tyer who especially enjoys tying steelhead and Atlantic Salmon patterns, Aaron is well-versed in traditional and synthetic materials and is a wonderful resource for tyers of all skill sets.
Join Aaron for a few Sunday fly tying seminars this winter....
Liam O'Brien
Liam is crazy about fly-fishing. He's fly fished since age 12 and admits fly fishing is his #1 hobby. He enjoys streamer fishing the Bow River and fishing the Oldman and Crowsnest whenever he can get there. Another favorite outing is Southwestern Alberta's smaller streams. Fly-tying is a more recent passion that he is quickly gaining proficiency in.
Currently completing his last year of high school, Liam continues to work part-time at Fish Tales while juggling other activites such as volleyball and soccer.
